JPMorgan Chase & Co. - The UK edition!

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is a leader in managing information globally. The company is vast and it takes countless teams of information professionals to ensure that the right people are getting the right information at the right time, all over the globe!

Our hosts at JPMorgan Chase gave a us a presentation highlighting some of the sorts of information problems they encounter and the best practices and methods they use to ensure they create high quality technology solutions to support the business.

We heard about the development of large-scale, proprietary systems for business intelligence, as well as small applications developed through RAD and Agile development processes. Anything's fair game in systems development at JPMC, and they even gave us the opportunity to tackle some of the information problems they deal with every day. They passed around different emails they had received for systems requests and students analyzed the problem and then presented their analysis to JPMC staff.

A panel of JPMC Interns from the UK talked to us about their experience in various IT roles (anywhere from project management to business analysis) and students grilled them about the differences between JPMC UK and JPMC USA, as many EuroTech students have also worked as interns for JPMorgan Chase.

The morning wrapped up with some delicious sandwiches and casual discussion between EuroTech students and JPMC Interns, including some tips on what to do with the next few free days in London.
